A little while ago my site was down for about 20 minutes. Why you ask? It’s because I just finished upgrading my site to the new Wordpress 2.6! There’s alot of new features in this WP2.6 and I’ll say it is still the best blog cms out there.
Check out the video intro for the new WP2.6
The new features are great. I simply love the post revision and the Turbo function. And of course, I can now have a picture caption for every one of my photos.
Let’s give it a try…
This is the new caption function. P/S: I love MacBooks...
See that? I can now have captions!!!
Awesome.

I am never going to watch any of M Night Shyamalan’s movies ever again.
All I can say about The Happening is….it’s NOT “happening” at all.
It started well. That I can agree. But along the way towards the mid part, everything started to get slow and boring. Other than that, I was annoyed by the appearance of the “boom mic” bopping up and down at the top of the screen. So much for quality control.
As how M Night usually ends his movies with unexpected surprises, there’s none at all in this movie. It just ends. That’s all. No explaination or whatsoever. Suddenly we just see the end credits without any surprises.
Actually seeing the end credits was the surprise. I was surprise that it ended.
Sheesh.
Word of advice, save your money and watch something else.
Firefox / Mozilla is inviting all of you to participate in setting a new world record for most downloaded software within 24 hours with the new Firefox 3 browser.
Fellow Malaysians, you guys only have until 1am tonight to download in order to be a part of the new world record.
As for me, I have downloaded the new Firefox 3 and it is awesome so far. I also have evaluated the pre-release versions of the Firefox 3 such as the RC1, RC2 and even the Beta releases. But those releases are quite unstable and it did crashed a few times before. But this final release is stable and rock solid.
At the moment, I am installing and updating the extensions / plug-ins and themes. Some of the extensions are useful such as the ScribeFire (blogging software which I’m using to write this blog), FireFTP (FTP software), FlashGot and DownloadHelper (downloading softwares).
Before I installed this Firefox 3, I was evaluating the new Opera 9.5 browser. The new Opera is awesome as well. It is now faster, stable, easy handling, faster startup and better looking user interface. Opera has improved their browser “engine”, making it a true rival for the new Firefox 3.
Now I can’t decide, Firefox 3 or Opera 9.5?
I guess I will continue to evaluate both browsers and review them in my next blog entry. Maybe give a little comparison on both with their pros and cons.

Steve Jobs unveils the new iPhone 2 with 3G to the world during the WWDC08 yesterday morning. But too bad we won’t be able to use it until July 11, 2008 when shipment is due. And too bad it won’t be available here in Malaysia, unless the “pirated” ones.
Even so, it won’t be as stable as the original version, as the software and the hardware are tweaked in order to make it compatible with the local providers.
As for the iPhone features, I’d say it has the best OS and the most beautiful of all available mobile phones on the market.
What I don’t like about the new iPhone is that there is almost no improvement on the camera functions. It is still using the 1.3 megapixel standard camera. If only they improve the camera functions not only in the megapixels, then it would be the most “complete” phones around.
I guess that’s the only function that I’m not happy with the iPhone. Other functions rocks big time.
Btw, the 8GB iPhone 2 is selling for only USD$199 in the US. That’s bloody cheap compared to the “altered” versions that some Malaysians are using.
Why, oh why don’t they make the iPhone available (legally) in Malaysia? Coz I want one! Sedih nyer.
You guys should try this out. If you’re a Nuffnang member, then you’re in for a treat.
All you have to do is just visit Nuffnang’s blog and play the simple fishing game. It’s fun and cute, all you have to do is get as much score in weight as you can.
At first I was having problem to “catch” the fishes. But in the end I got the hang of it and got my highest score. I will try again to improve the score but in the meantime, here’s my score:
It would be the best birthday present for me if I win. *hint*
I did a review on a new cakes and cheesecakes website recently, and the owner was kind enough to send me 3 mini cheesecakes as a token of appreciation for my review. And that was one of my best “payment” ever!
Jazrul decided to treat me with 3 of his *smack* *drool* delicious cheesecakes after he read the review. So yesterday evening he gave me a call to find out my location. I was in Summit when he called me, but after knowing that he’s giving me those cheesecakes, I made a Schumacher and reached Mutiara Damansara within 20 minutes.
When I met him, he gave me a box. Inside there are 3 mini cheesecakes, Chocolate, Cappuchino and Sneakers. I went home and saved the best for last, the Sneakers.
The Mini Sneakers Cheesecake
The taste? Oh how wonderful. I finished the Chocolate Cheesecake in less than one minute, Cappuchino, longer than 2 minutes. But the Sneakers Cheesecake? Waaaay longer, coz I was savouring the taste and the moment. I don’t want it to be a short kind of excitement, know what I’m sayin’?
The after taste? Put it this way, I can still the taste the Sneakers cheesecake until now (mind you, I dah gosok gigi, and had lunch too). I can still smell the smell and taste the taste. Bottomline, awesomely deeelicious.
I never had a cheesecake that good. I thought Secret Recipe has a good cheesecake but this was out of this world. I guess the love and passion of baking these cheesecakes really played an important role in preparing these excellent dessert. That is what the people behind 4cakesinacup.com is focused on, giving your their love and passion in a form of a cheesecake.
