Another Awesome Beatbox-ing

Previously I posted a video on an awesome beatbox-ing by a contestant in some French talent show. That was cool. Now I found another great beatbox-ing by a guy name Eklipse. A great combination of music coming out from him. I’d say, he’s good. He’s really good.

Here it is. Turn up your volume and hear the awesome beat.

It’s Her Birthday!

I have lots of blog entry today. I was not able to update my site during the weekend because I can’t get online from home.

Last Saturday was Geena’s 29th birthday. We celebrated early on Friday instead because of the wedding function that I have to attend on Saturday night. I invited Dr Sunil along to join us for a nice surprise birthday dinner for Geena at Seoul Bulgogi Korean BBQ Restaurant. (Seems that this particular restaurant is my favourite place to dine in any occasion.)

This was Sunil’s first visit to this restaurant. He said that he noticed the place whenever he passed through Plaza Pantai along the Federal Highway but never had the chance to dine here. Good thing he came along, coz he loved the food. He also told us that he would bring his mom here one day.

I love the idea of table-top grilling. It keeps one patient while waiting for their food to cook. This has thought Sunil abit of patience too, he said it himself.

I love the food here. You should try it one day. It’s not that expensive for an all-you-can-eat buffet. Just that you have to grill the meat yourself. But it’s fun, really.

My favourite meat would be beef and lamb. Those are a must. I ate alot that night, and Geena had to stop me. If not, I would finish up the meat at the buffet line.

I gave THAT look to Geena when she asked me to stop. LOL.

As for Geena, she whallop all the seafood. She’s on a seafood diet, whenever she see-food, she eats.

After dinner, we parted ways with Sunil. Geena and I head over to Salsa Havana in Federal Hotel to meet up and hangout with my best buddy Ron. He was quite shocked to find out that I’m going there. But at least I had a great time watching people dance salsa. Geena and I don’t dance salsa, we don’t know the steps. Not yet anyway. But to spoil the night, Fahmy (my ex-boss) arrived. He’s a nice person to call a friend, but when it comes to Salsa, he’s overdoing it. (Sorry Fahmy, but it’s true. Ada sikit over la beb.)

I do have a few photos taken when we were in Salsa Havana. But I haven’t optimized it yet. Maybe I’ll post it later.

Anyway, I wish Geena a very Happy 29th Birthday.

A Friends’ Wedding

Last Saturday Geena & I attended my friends’ wedding, Mary & Harsha. It was held in a huge hall in Batu Caves, ok, NOT “in” Batu Caves but in the area near it.

Mary-Harsha
To Mary & Harsha, have a wonderful life ahead.

I was expecting a medium type of reception for an Indian wedding, but I was shocked to see that they had their reception as grand as they can. It was huge. It’s more like a english or chinese type of wedding reception.

I went there early at around 6pm to set up my photo slideshow that I did for them. I had to rent a projector in order to have the show. Good thing when I reached there the ballroom was still empty. I quickly boot up my laptop and setup the projector for a test run.

Mary-Wedding (2)

Everything seems to be in order.

The slideshow runs on loop. So what I do is turn it on and let it run through during the entire event.

Mary-Wedding (1)

Like I said, the ballroom is huge. It can sit about 1000 at one time. I wonder how much Mary have to pay for the entire package. Hmm..

Mary-Wedding (4)

I’d say, they set up the place nicely. Mary told me that their theme colour is gold and maroon.

Mary-Wedding (5)

The tables are decorated with flowers, but by the time we finish eating, the candle burned the flower which I had to put it off with my glass of drinks. LOL.

Mary-Wedding (6)

Flower decorations are everywhere. Along with candles…

Mary-Wedding (7)

…and ice.

Mary-Wedding (9)

Geena and I had a good time at the wedding. The food is great. I can say that when my wedding day comes, I would appoint the same caterer for my function.

Btw, I was waiting for my other friends to arrive at the wedding. But it seems that I was the only one representing ex-Earthmedians there. I wonder where the rest of the gang went. Darn. I was hoping that they would come so that we can catch up on old times.

Err, those of you who want to have a presentation slideshow at any of your functions, you can contact me. heh heh.

Not An Easy Shot

Last Thursday there was a big storm in PJ area. There obviously lots of thunder and lightning that goes around the area. Then I saw lightning bolts around my office area on my way home from work, so I decided to try and take a photo of the lightning. After failing a few times tryping to capture the magnificent lightning bolt with my camera phone, I finally managed to capture one. Only one.

Here it is.

Lightning

I can say that I am proud of this photo. My first and only shot of a lightning bolt. It’s not an easy task I tell you.

…and they’re gone…

DSC00642

I was at the airport last Saturday to send off my future brother-in-law Morris and his wife Laura back to their hometown in Sarawak. All this time while they were in KL, we spent so much time together through happiness and sadness but it’s time for them to head back to Sarawak for good.

Morris had received an offer to work close to home. So he wasted no time in accepting the offer as it would be closer to home for him and close to his daughter. Morris and Laura has been longing to see their daughter as they were separated for more then 6 months due to their working commitments here in KL.

I was sad to see them leave. I felt the emptiness these few days without them around. The only time I get to see them again is when I travel to Sarawak for my holidays. I won’t know when will that be. I hope it’s soon.
